A personalized design...

Right in the center of the city of Porto, RCArquitectura was invited to carry out the architectural and decoration project for a dental clinic with the respective simplified licensing process with the ers.

The building is used exclusively as a dental practice. It consists of two floors at street level and was previously equipped with accessibility standards for people with reduced mobility.

The design concept sets it apart from any other dental clinic ever built. In the reception area, each seating area emphasizes intimacy, warmth and personalized service. By using space-defining elements, such as vertical slats, we were able to define intellectualized spaces, increasing their level of privacy. The dynamics of the space appear as a result of the organic use of the line, curved and enveloping, which introduces us to the succession of spaces in an instructional way.

Aesthetics and functionality go hand in hand in this project. They are inseparable partners, proclaiming contemporaneity, sophistication and comfort. The lighting, sometimes indirect, creates atmosphere and defines the space.

The service desk, as in any other space, will have a dual function. To welcome those arriving and greet those leaving. As such, two moments are created at the same counter. A reception area and a payment area. The design for the dental clinic once again uses intellectualized filters, giving greater privacy in the payment area.
The flooring recommended in the project is vinyl, with the particularity of changing its color according to the visual angle that is observed. Guaranteeing durability and a degree of asepsis, it is proposed for all areas of unconditioned public access and circulation zones.

The program...

On the upper floor, the clinical area, the program is quite extensive. Here there are consulting rooms, an orthopantomograph, sterilization and other technical areas, complying with the design requirements inherent in dental practice.

Form follows function in each project. Each space is designed according to a very particular aesthetic, from the inside out.

Each project takes into account the proper monitoring and licensing of the clinic before the health regulatory authority (ers).
