Dental clinic in Braga
The concept...
The opportunity arises to design a project for a dental clinic in Braga, without the constraints of pre-existing structures. The programmatic discourse is considered, as well as all the areas of clinical treatment. One of the main premises would be the materialization of a differentiating dental clinic within its segment.
In this sense, while still in the project, we sought a space that was permeable to natural light. A volume that opens up to the outside with an awareness of the specificities of a given space. To achieve this, we used small voids in the volume, interior patios, creating moments in which light and nature ensure the intimacy and immersion of the project.
As a result, with the opening up of the offices and waiting areas to interior courtyards, the need arose to think of an element for filtering and shaping the light. In this way, vertical wooden elements appear in an adjustable way, regulating the direct lighting levels in each area.
The integration of natural textures is suggested by the interior patios. Architecture that emerges from the outside in and the inside out, in perfect communion. As flooring for the clinic, assuming a bold and contemporary language, vinyl flooring is recommended, rhythmic, with enveloping and dynamic colors.
As the protagonist of the space, the counter is the most striking feature of the dental clinic. It is undoubtedly the protagonist of the space.
Light, matter, form and color come together, welcoming and enveloping the user, transforming their arrival into a memorable experience.
The arrival of the clinical office is felt and accompanied by a scale of greater involvement, in which the lighting becomes cozier and more welcoming. Textured walls, slats, lighting rhythms, suspended furniture, marble and wood are some of the grammars advocated in this project.
A Braga dental clinic. Much more than a clinic...
Not only architecture but also furniture was the target of the project.
As far as furniture design is concerned, the architect's intention is to design the entire technical component (consulting rooms) as well as circulation and waiting areas.
Tables and chairs are carefully chosen.
In conclusion, nothing is left to chance.
Everything is designed down to the smallest detail so that the user feels comfortable and at ease.
