Architecture and interior decoration project - Vila do Conde.

Located in the city of Vila do Conde, this architectural and interior design project deals with a common dwelling, underpinning the intimate experience of a contemporary family.

The fundamental essence of living is to take care of and establish a sentimental relationship with what surrounds us. Architecture is specifically a reflection on our relationship with space. Therefore, through the project, we try to establish an emotional connection, a sense of belonging and identification between the subject and the space, the stage for experiences.
The program includes a three-bedroom apartment with three bedrooms facing east.

With plenty of natural light coming from the glass façade, the project's intention is to ensure that it is properly infused into each space. As a result, it was decided to unify the kitchen and living room, providing elements that define zones and, at the same time, guarantee visual continuity.

Characterization of an interior architecture project...

Natural materials such as wood and different textures were used as humanizing elements, helping to create an intimate atmosphere.

Lighting must be part of the creative moment. Light is mutable matter, it moves throughout the day, changing its course throughout the year. As a result, the transformative power of light must be taken into account and how it can transform, define and produce different visual effects.
As such, artificial lighting is integrated into the design of the furniture and decoration. With an intimate tone, it appears as a dynamic element in the space. In the more intimate sphere, the bedrooms, indirect lighting was chosen, adjustable to the different demands of the space.

An interior design project should combine aesthetics, functionality and comfort.
To this end, the fixed furniture and some of the decorative pieces have been designed with special attention to detail.

When it comes to furniture design, it is the architect's intention to design the fixed and mobile pieces that are most prominent in the project. Nothing is left to chance. Everything is designed down to the smallest detail so that the user feels comfortable and at ease in their home.
